Key objectives
The establishment of Women in Mining Ghana (WIM Ghana) is a significant step towards promoting women’s empowerment and gender equality in the mining sector. The objectives outlined below provide a roadmap for achieving this vision
Promote Women's Empowerment
1. Training and Development: Provide training and development programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of women in the mining sector.
2. Mentorship: Establish mentorship programs to pair experienced women professionals with those early in their careers.
3. Networking: Facilitate networking opportunities for women in the mining sector to build relationships and share experiences.
Foster Gender Equality
1. Advocacy: Advocate for policies and practices that promote gender equality in the mining sector.
2. Research: Conduct research on gender-related issues in the mining sector to inform policy and practice.
3. Stakeholder Engagement: Engage with stakeholders, including government agencies, industry players, and civil society organizations, to promote gender equality.
Support Women's Leadership
1. Leadership Development: Provide leadership development programs to equip women with the skills and knowledge needed to take on leadership roles.
